UPDATE: Consider it solved.
After writing another game to NOR, then formatting it to remove all data, and rewriting the LeafGreen ROM, everything has been fine. Been playing an hour or two every day for the past week and haven't experienced any issues whatsoever.
I had left the cart completely...
Thanks for replying. ROM checksum checks out. How would I go about verifying the checksum of the full SD contents? I don't know much about this stuff, I used a dedicated tool for the ROM.
Now that I think about it I actually haven't cleaned the pins in months, I just did that now so fingers...
I've played around 50 hours of Pokemon Fire Red on my EZ Flash ODE written to NOR flash without any issues whatsoever. Had left the flash cart completely unused for 4-5 months and am now playing Leaf Green, also a 100% clean rom file. But I am now experiencing various issues with it (from minor...
I can’t believe this hasn’t been brought up anywhere on the internet yet.
I was just playing Link’s Awakening DX on my EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition flashcart. I beat the first mini boss, and almost sh*t my pants. My GBA vibrated. Took me a second to remember that this flashcart has a...
Okay, I thought so. I frequently switch between Cart mode B, and oftentimes in mode A I actually do want to discard the session, so I like to keep autosave off. Luckily I haven’t actually lost any desired progress this way, was just curious if this could be done. Thanks for the reply!
I thought I knew everything about this flashcart at this point, but I've just stumbled into an interesting issue.
I have autosave off, and when quitting a game, I sometimes accidentally hit B (don't backup to SD). When booting the game again, even from NOR, it loads whatever save is on the SD...
After too much time searching for an answer to this for myself, I finally found success. Strange how you were getting errors extracting from the SRAM though, Pokemon Crystal went smoothly for me. Given that you mentioned GoombasavCore.WinForms.x64 and the other exe's (which aren't needed), I...
Ah I was almost certain this was the case, thank you for your reply. I'm not too knowledgeable in cart hardware yet but now would be a good time to learn I guess!
Not the answer I was hoping for, but just the info I needed. Thank you.
I do have multiple systems but not a link cable, just want to see what (if anything) I can do before buying a link cable and cart flasher.
Long story short I’d like to trade between a Pokémon Crystal rom on my EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition, and a Red cart.
I’m thinking the way to go would be to write to NORFLASH and switch the cart to mode B, then boot the game as a normal cart in my GBA SP; no jagoomba emulation. However...
Hey guys. Story time.
Let's start back in ~2006 before I owned any video games (overkill? maybe. skip this first paragraph if it's too long.). My friend's brother got bored with his GBC and just gave me it, along with 6 games. Great guy. From then on I was pretty fascinated with 80's-early00's...
Finally got a working thumbnail for Another World!
Download link for the GBATA software wasn't working, but the second Google result for "gbata" did the trick. Cheers!
On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
