    PS5 UART commands

First, check gddr6 ram ic #7 if shows any different in behavior in compare to the other seven ram ics. (Heat, voltage/resistance readings). If you want to replace the the ic you need the same type of gddr6 ram ic. It could be from a donor or another source. It is not possible to mix different...

I normaly use IPA and a cotton swap to remove liquid metal. From Thermal Grizzly there is a Remover aceton-based. If you had spilled liquid metal on the APU, I would make sure that no rest is left.

Error code 80C00140 can be caused by - bga problem at APU - liquid metal spill on top of the APU - bga problem at GDDR6 ram ics I would take used ones from a PS5 as replacement. I couldn't find the exact model number for purchase on digikey/mouser/.... Micron (D9ZPL/9DXKV) and Samsung...

Very strange output at all. (no commands/NG returns/partial error code description) I guess this is not ps5 we tools. Can you sent a dump of the nor data?

PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply

I guess that the sb is not powering on, if you have 0A. The pmic ic (RT5126/DA9065) should power the sb. Maybe the sb is bad too?

    PS5 UART Setup CH341A

Do you get 3.3V on the TX and RX on the PS5 mainboard if only a psu is connected? Do you get 3.3V at the TX and RX pins at the programmer without the both wires connected to the PS5? If connected: Are the wires TX -> RX and RX -> TX connected? Have both line still 3.3V while PS5 and programmer...

    PS5 UART Setup CH341A

For UART only 12V are necessary. No starting the PS5. The southbridge will start as soon the 12V are reaching the board. Wait aprox 20 sec and OK 00000000:3A $$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36 should be on the terminal

If you only switch the bench power supply on without turning the PS5 on, is the consumption ok?

    PS5 UART Setup CH341A

If you get a blue light and a beep the southbridge powers on. Check if the TX RX wires are correct on programmer and board and check if the programmer is in TTL mode

    PS5 UART Setup CH341A

It doesn't matter where the 12V are generated. If the power source can provide aprox 320 mA it is ok. The southbridge should start working as soon as the 12V are present and the tx and rx should show 3.3V

    PS5 UART Setup CH341A

If you unplug the power cord to the PS5 and plug it back again, does a message: OK 00000000:3A $$ [MANU] UART CMD READY:36 apears on screen? (Can take up to 20 sec after replug the power cord) If not, please check if TX and RX with disconnected wires to the programmer read 3.3V.

EMMC accidently swapped, OFW does not boot. SysCFW and EmuCFW do

This problem happend because the emmc had a higher firmware version than the board which the emmc was swapped to. A Switch has a protection against firmware downgrade. Every update on ofw leads to an defined numbers of burnt fuses. At the start sequence the system checks, if the emmc firmware...
