Noexes Sysmodule - how to remove + what it does?

Check to see if there is a noexs.kip1 on the root of your SD card. Also, check your hekate_ipl.ini for a noxes block. edit: noexes is a graphical remote debugger.

Nintendo sends DMCA notices for "syspatch-updater" homebrew app by iTotalJustice

While sys-patch is also now gone (assuming iTG is playing it safe) I love how it wasn't included in the DMCAs. But sigpatch-updater was?

CFW - is it possible to turn on airplane mode permanently or deactivate WIFI/Bluetooth off permanently?

Just tell that person it's off. It's not really damaging their health, so who cares? Don't set up any Wi-Fi connections. Keep airplane mode on. I don't see it magically turning itself off. Just make sure Bluetooth is also off when in airplane mode. Make sure they realize they can't use...

    Best GBA AliExpress IPS LCDs?

I agree that's a pain, and is a very slow process. But if you watch The Magicians, you'll find out the spell to do it. 😊

Does this mangled SuperCard DSTWO hold any value?

Does anybody else have a DSTwo that is seemingly dead? I left mine in a drawer for years with other electronics. Everything but the DSTwo still works fine. When I plug the DSTwo, with proper files on sd card and inserted, nothing comes up on my DSLite, or N3DSXL with latest Luma. I've seen...

Tutorial Using sys-tweak to bypass linked Nintendo account requirements

Interesting. Definitely worth a try. I assume the artifact (nap) built 6 months ago with 16.x.x support will work? The official one on the GitHub. Edit: is there anyway to set a single config.ini for all games? Or does it have to be by title id?

Nintendo's Next System Should be Open Source

Why wouldn't a DRM that requires always online work for an open source OS? Private keys are still private. It worked for Ouya, and look at how successful THAT was!

Quake 2 - temp ticket patch

I thought these tickets were from people dumping games from a shared Switch account and not the primary account? As in, when the primary buys a game and the other a local Switch users on that device can play the game.

SSL errors affect Verizion FIOS and CL ISP modems

But the point is that in the end of your convoluted way of doing it, you ARE stil simply bypassing the error message and are proceeding anyway. There is no difference between your long winded steps and simply clicking the proceed anyway link. So every security aspect you just pretended to care...

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

  • cearp @ cearp:
@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
