Game looks decent. Battle system is like the 2D Tales of games. Guessing they are using the same engine. Makes sense since the Tales of games are from the same company.
If you like shows such as Resident Evil, The Witcher, Halo, etc that do not respect the original source material/lore, make shit up, and checks a lot of checkboxes, this show is for you.
My guess is it may take a lot of money, time and effort to merge the two systems, and it's a lot cheaper with this current set up. In other words, to maximize profit since Microsoft already spent billions of dollars with this acquisition.
Video thumbnail shows a lot of characters that fits a bunch of checkbox, which usually tells me that the game studio worked with a DEI consultant firm. Instant skip for me.
That's a fair point. Though I'm sure that there are Smash fans that enjoys competitive Smash but got lumped in with some bad eggs that caused the Smash community to have bad reputations.
John Riccitiello is part of the reason for the whole install fee debacle. The board members that are still at Unity is also the reason for the bonehead decision. So it's still not safe to trust Unity.
The only change people want from the company is for them to backtrack this new fee policy they are planning to implement next year and an proper apology. In any case, this reminds of Wizard of the Coast and Dungeons & Dragons' debacle that happened not too long ago.
