While no one was expecting such a thing... someone was working behind the scenes (I didn't know either) and since I didn't saw this in here I just decided to share it...

I don't share here because I think this is inappropriate.
Like I said here:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/frontier-gate-boost-translation-project.460408/page-3
I want someone to help identify kanji,
I have batch identification with OCR from google,
and make a rough table.
about 75% are correct, and the rest need more thorough identification.
Please help identify the kanji,
that way a better translation/text dump can be done, so someone can translate it

I see... I've already forgotten about that and I didn't noticed it was you...
Just looking in that spreadsheet I could ifentify a few of the kanji I'm familiar with, although I can identify it that doesn't mean that I can read them nor type them. I saw some of them merged? That's is hard to idenfity.

you can download a KANJI+.zip version in previous thread for reference, that actualy same whith image in sheet , i use crc32 to sort kanji to avoid repeated identification,

Let me give it a try, I'll use your spreadsheet and follow the pattern you are using in it, let me try to identify a few and I'll send it to you so you can check to see if I did something wrong.

I love Frontier Gate! I'm also fluent in Japanese and an experienced ROM hacker, so I'm very eager to help. I can identify all the Kanji you want. How do I go on about this? I had a look at your spreadsheet, but obviously don't have write access. Should I just make a copy?

just request for access, or send me your gmail.
Make a copy also a good option,
identification of kanji is optional, if all kanji have been checked, I don't hesitate to share the script/tool that I use.

Here you go (it's a .csv file, but apparently that's not an allowed extension). Virtually all Kanji should be identified correctly, but there might be the occasional mistake due to the small resolution (what were the devs thinking?) There were like 2 or 3 I just couldn't identify, though, but they should hopefully be easy to get right once a sentence where they're used is dumped. The last 150 or so didn't have an associated image, so I couldn't do anything there.

So what are the next steps? Can I help?

That's my intention! I gave the tools from the repository a try and they'll serve as a great base for a translation. Good work, Gil_Unx. However, I have other projects that I want to prioritize at the moment (Tales of Innocence R and Tales of Destiny 2, first and foremost), so don't expect lightning-speed progress here. I also suspect FGB+ to not exactly be the most demanded translation in video game history, but I'd love to be proven wrong, especially since I do really like the game.

I think you only get like 425gb on a series s hard drive, so you get 1, 2 next gen games max
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, so you need to have another series s if you wanna play more games?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Nuh you buy extra HD n add to it, but not cheap
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, how can a console have more than 1 hard drives?
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
usb expansion? I know the PS4 can do this
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh Yea I recall my PS3 can do that
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Modded ofc
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Speaking of my PS3 i havent downloaded any games yet bc my wifi is too slow
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and also because blackouts here are very common and that could damage the console
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
    that's weird
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, and oh i was talking about ups
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    No not that one
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Surge protectors are what i was talking about
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
Yea I got confused for a bit
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    @Xdqwerty literally juan:
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
