I'm trying to use XDELTA patches on game Super Smash Bros. Melee, but I get a major problem. please help.

Hi! last night, I was trying to use a XDELTA patch on Super Smash Bros. Melee. but some problems prevented me from doing it. the error says: XDELTA3: not a VCDIFF input: XD3_INVALID_INPUT.
does anybody know how to fix this?
1- my game is not NKit.
2- I am using Dolphin Emulator.
3- my game ISO name ends with: (En,Ja) .

check this out... just for reference. If that still doesn't help, download the patch again and re-dump your game

First, you posted in the wrong section, just to clarify. This means that you are careless.
Therefore, I ask you: are you sure the patch is in .xdelta format and not something else?

What kind of patch is it? A translation of the game in your language? Or a hack? Can't you find that iso online already patched?

it is a xdelta mod for ssbm.
it replaces mario with sonic.

downloading roms is... VERY ILLEGAL.

no. I use xdelta ui. it is offline.

all of the ones I tested was glitchy.

How come? Maybe that ISO is too big to upload online.

As for the legality of online isos, it depends on the country you are in. Elsewhere they are tolerated for personal use. Besides, it is a game from twenty years ago.
Maybe you would find it online already patched.
