I'm posting this bc I couldn't find anything here or elsewhere.
I wanted to play the Inazuma Eleven series again but the first game always freezes. Either when a cutscene starts or just randomly right in the beginning.

I played it in the past, but that was on a different cart.
Right now I use the R4 SDHC Gold Pro from 2019
With the latest retrogamefan release
I tried the 5515 German Inazuma Eleven rom and when that didn't work I tried the EUR and the US roms as well, but still freezes.

Does anyone know a fix or something?
Thx

Yea, it should work. Make sure it's not trimmed (or atleast is lightly trimmed), and is not patched in any way.
Well, yeah it should. I played it before and the first german rom I used was the one that worked back then.
That one has the crc32 9f867be8
That didn't work so I used a new one with the crc32 2df24109

Sadly I don't know how to find out which one a clean rom should have.

Buddy, if you are using YSMenu, as I understand, this is a known problem and has already been discussed many times:
https://gbatemp.net/threads/games-not-working-on-ysmenu.576589/
unfortunately, there is nothing to be done about it, since no one in recent years has ever updated the db of that software.
The only solution is to use dual-booting with YSMenu and your flashcart's own kernel, to play this and other titles (e.g. Lufia).
Regards. 😉

Okay, I'll try that right now.
Thing is, back when I played it I used the M3 card and never used anything else but YSMenu. That's why it's a bit perplexing to me, but thanks for the Info.
It seems to work with the other Kernel, I got to a part where I can actually play and save the game at least. Let's see if it stays that way. If not I'll just give up and see if I can buy it again somewhere. (I already owned it but the cartridge broke)

Are you near sea/salt water, or in general they just don't last. Sounds like if you driving a mercedes, you need a garage. I get snow n ice here so nothing worse than clearing that shit off at 6am rushing to get to work.
