Hi,
I am almost absolutely certain that it's not possible, but I follow a deal website where an offer for Mario RPG on Aliexpress for 25 bucks was posted and people were yapping about that with the Mig Switch now being able to clone games, this must definitely be counterfeit at this price.
I know that they don't know how any of this works, and I also know that it doesn't work like this, but I just wanted to be certain on the very small off-chance that this is actually a thing now. Can games be cloned now? Are there actual working hardware copies of games sold on aliexpress?

Well some smarty pants probably cracked the Mig Switch to find out how it worked and now probably are making clones. I've yet to see one however so it would be interesting to get one to check it out

Makes sense, but that would 100% have made the rounds here way before some nobody who doesn't understand shit about switch hacking on a huge deal website claims these are illegal copies only because there's been a working flashcard for a few months now.

Someone there explained there's cheap copies of the Mig without a button, with an integrated MicroSD, effectively working as a fake module. You can not tell me this wouldn't have been major news here already, the second they were offered.

Sadly, no. All just hearsay, no proof.
I believe that it's possible to reverse engineer the Mig Switch and make cheap knockoffs containing only one rom, but there's no way that this wouldn't have caused a huge discussion here already. Especially since said offer on Aliexpress has been online for a few months now, with the oldest customer review going back to January. The Mig Switch wasn't even easily available at that time, much less already reverse engineered and copied.

I mean it have to start, and once someone gets a clone. Then the flood gates will open.

I believe the Switch games on AliExpress are just imported copies from overseas.

Tired of the entire "BUT BUT BUT WINDOWZ SPYWARE!!!" thing too, when the same people give out tons of their personal info to plenty of other companies but say nothing about it.

@RedColoredStars, Companies do the exact same thing with other companies as well, so it's not just Microsoft. There are 3rd-parties like 'data brokers'.

I'm 52 years old and one of my jobs in life was marketing research. Im well aware. I've been online for around 30 years. Everyone and their grandmother already has my personal information. One more having my email address isn't ruining my life or even effecting me in any way whatsoever.
