Hacking Misc Pokéwalker Course Hacking?

I'm pretty new to romhacking, but I wanted to know how possible it would be to make new courses for the Pokéwalker. From what I've seen, the Walker just reads data from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSIlver and shows it on the Walker's screen, so I was wondering how hard it would be to make something like a new Wonder Card that would add a course or two with new Pokémon and items to collect.
