I recently came upon the discovery that if you format a MicroSD on your Mac or pc to exFat and NOT YOUR SWITCH, your switch won’t be able to recognize it which makes it great for using it on the emuNAND. It will still work fine with home brew and the likes!
Theoretically, this is great to stay banfree as an extra measure to an already safe method because if you accidentally boot into ofw, since the switch can’t recognize the cfw MicroSD, it won’t detect any of the files inside so you can just then simply power off and put in the correct MicroSD.
I’ve been using it with sx os and there has only been 2 minor inconveniences. 1 is that I cannot install nsp updates to sd card which doesn’t really matter because when I click install to system memory, it installs to the emunand folder on my sd card. The second is for when I use checkpoint, I have to create a new backup on the switch and only then can I replace the save files. Besides that, everything works normally.
