Hardware So, how much time do you give to this console until it gets hacked?

I would say about 4 years. That said i think they will us stricter methods like if the internet is connected do weekly checks to see if it can access eshop and if not not let them boot any games.

Maybe it wouldn't take so long for running homebrew, but actual Switch games will take awhile.

It is really difficult to say without knowing almost nothing about it... But 3/4 years? Hopefully less, at least in order to make homebrew for it (not talking about piracy, that will take 3/4 years for sure)

It depends on how big, popular and hot the Switch will be. If it will be a sucess I give it 2 years. If it will be like the PSViTA or WiiU I give it 5 years!

I agree. it all depends on the success of the device. if it sells 2 million in its life time, no one will care. i.e. Sega Saturn

if it 20 million the 1st year, im sure will get a OTP for that booty rate in 2 years. i.e. 3/DS
