rhyguy: I'm pretty sure FC matches are direct connections as I play with Australians fine. It's just the random matchups that rely on the Nintendo servers.

Added everyone, all "awaiting registration"
Do both people have to enter in each others code? or can one send and the other accept?
Either way all aussie's have been added and my code is 5112-3240-9045.

All the people i've added has been "Awaiting Registration" for some time now....even one that was added like 2 weeks ago. So i have no idea!!

Yeah m00ie, both people have to enter in each others code. It's a slow system and one of the reasons why a lot of people aren't happy with how Nintendo are handling their Wi-Fi service. I will add you myself once I plug the Wii back in later today, so hopefully you'll have one less "awaiting registration" on your list, right?

That's odd, I'm the same here. Maybe entering the wrong name causes a problem? If you've got the time, we should do a little lag test if everything works out. I haven't played against anyone in Asia yet, but I tried America and it's like playing at 1/2 speed without the response time...

Ok, i think it has something to do with the name.

Ceasama, you added me as FRANZ...as soon as i changed my name to match the one you gave me, you appeared ONLINE for me. So whatever your Profile Name is, it needs to be the same name that the other person adds you as.

I will be going as FRANZ from now on...

Haha, you don't have to do that if you don't want to.
It's just a coincidence that I've left the Wii running on Wi-Fi so if anyone on my list connects now, they will end up validated. AFAIK you can have any name you want on Wi-Fi regardless of how your friends input it. The same thing applied to Mario Kart DS.

If anyone has the chance, jump on now if you want to get a validated person. I'm not actually home, so I can't brawl right now unfortunately, but we'll be ready for battles later down the line!

Oh...so it was merely a coincidence then. I thought that would be pretty restrictive of Nintendo to do something stupid like that. Silly me!

heya kiwi here i'll post my FC tomorro and add you tomorro. I just tried a random match and it sucks. The 2 minites took about 5! looking forward to lag free brawls

Oh man, I don't even get random matches. I just get disconnected with the Error Code 86420. However, I've done all the port forwarding for the game and I can play friend matches fine.

It sounds like I'm not missing much though...

Hey Mikey, that was a good match! Unlucky about the box explosion

The lag was a bit of a bummer as well, but compared to some of the other matches I've had online it didn't turn out too bad.
