Hacking [Q] Is it possible to "steal" GW's multirom menu and add it to a CFW?

myself and slashmolder have been using their menu in our cfw stuff on and off since.. april(may?) of last year. so we could use the gw card with the cfw, etc. it's certainly possible to use without their launcher. their arm9 stuff would need a fair amount of work to load right from an sd...

Hacking [IN PROGRESS] New Homebrew Launcher Exploit for 3DS

so basically, you read yifanlu's posts and from that you're able to make a custom firmware and a new homebrew launcher? wow. and why would you need to "translate" yifanlu's pseudocode into actual C? it's already in the gateway launcher you're supposedly going to use. if you had actually analyzed...

Hacking Will GW users on 9.x need to remain on 9.x and thus lose later compatibility?

if they have arm9 access, they almost definitely can do emunand. and there's no reason for emunand yet since there's been no further firmware updates. i'd wager that once new updates start showing up, emunand will start appearing in the newer gw releases for 9.x

Hacking List of all Gateway questions (9.2.0-20)

There's no signature verification patching without arm9 access. If they can run devmenu and install stuff, it's a "full" exploit.

Hacking [SPECULATION] SSSpwn allows kernel access?

which part of anything i said was "raging"? i'm just sitting here killing some time and noticed someone being an idiot. he's pretty much the shittiest of shitty trolls.

Hacking [SPECULATION] SSSpwn allows kernel access?

govanify is a fucking idiot. what he said was wrong. he has no idea what he's doing. if you knew how the whole thing actually worked(or how region free was achieved), you might have a clue. That would require real work, though.

Hacking [SPECULATION] SSSpwn allows kernel access?

so right, no proof, no RE-ed code, not even an explanation. pretty much what i expected.

Hacking [SPECULATION] SSSpwn allows kernel access?

so where exactly is the proof of this? granted, i've been through ssspwn/ninjahax/whatever top to bottom and know there is no kernel access, but i still want to hear this because i'm sure it will be humorous.

you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about. there is not.

if you're using that drawString thing, you'd use sprintf to write the number to a buffer.

VR had the chance to integrate with existing games and tech but VR companies said "NO, I WANT MY SHIT TO BE STANDALONE AND MY GAMES EXCLUSIVE TO FACEBOOK"

  • Veho @ Veho:
Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc

But now it's "can I use my VR set with my racing games, that would be neat?" "ONLY IF YOU USE OUR DILDOSTICK CONTROLLERS AND RUN THE GAME ON OUR ANDROID-UNDERPOWERED BRICK"

  • Veho @ Veho:
The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.

These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If we're talking AAA titles a vr headset would be priced at nearly the same cost as a midrange gaming pc maybe even double
