Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Is it possible to soft-reset DS and GBA games in TwilightMenu on a softmodded DSi XL (Flipnote Lenny exploit)? If yes, could softresetting lead to files corrupting on the SD card? What are the best practices to avoiding SD card corruption when playing GBA and DS games on TwilightMenu?

Homebrew How to avoid SD card corruption when using TwilightMenu++ on DSi XL?

Background: Recently my SD card got corrupted after using GBARunner2. When trying to load into TwilightMenu, I got the error message "fat init error". When plugging the SD card into my PC, I could see that the GBA rom folder was completely corrupted, with almost all file names and folders being...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Does installing TwilightMenu++ on a R4 cart bypass the timebomb (if it has it)?

ROM Hack How to replace the EN intro with the JP intro for Mega Man Battle Network 5 Double Team DS?

Hi! Is it possible to replace the English intro with the Japanese intro in Mega Man Battle Network 5 Double Team DS? I only want to replace the intro, and not the voicelines. Does a hack/ patch for this already exist? If not, how can I go about doing this? Any help would be greatly...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Hi! I just got a brand new N3DS that I am looking to hack to play backups of games I own, backing up NDS and 3DS cart save files among other things. I would prefer not to install anything on the CTR NAND (system memory). Is it possible to install everything to the SD card? In case I have to...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

It's not my intention to sound crass, but does it matter? I have already bought the console. It's here and I'm going to use it. I just wanted a N3DS. After reading more into it, I have decided to just make a new NNID. I had only bought Dillon's Rolling Western and some themes on the old 3DS...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Look at the improvements that the N3DS has over the OG 3DS. Those are my reasons for wanting a new one. Bigger screens without sacrificing too much pixel density, more stable 3D, C-stick, faster loading times, amiibo support etc. Hmm, can I just simply log out of my old 3DS and log in on the...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

The data will be lost on the old 3DS when the system is transferred to the new N3DS. I don't want to see my OG 3DS being empty. I want my data on both of them. I still want my data to be on the old 3DS because of my strong sentimental feelings toward it. I wanted a new N3DS for the most optimal...

Hacking 3DS NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Is there a way to do a system transfer from my old 3DS to my brand new N3DS without losing the data on the old one? None of my systems are hacked. I want to use my brand new N3DS, but I don't want to loose all of the data on my OG launch 3DS. I have had it since 2011, and I just can't bring...

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

I have some more questions: 1. Is it possible to do the Pokémon mainline games and the Pokémon Ranger series Mystery Gift/Special Online Missions with the roms, or does it only work with game cartridges? (For those who don't know, you can get all of the Mystery Gifts by using an internet setting...

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Sorry for the late response! I bought my DSi XL brand new, so I don't want to risk bricking it. I don't mind the 20 seconds it takes to initiate the Flipnote exploit. So it's good enough for my use. That's a nice tip! I have too many roms on my SD card though, so I have to use the folders. The...

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Thank you for you answers! I have softmodded my PAL DSi XL using the Flipnote Lenny exploit. I only installed Twilight Menu. Is it possible to return to the Twilight Menu while playing a rom launched with NDS Bootstrap? L + R + D-pad down + B sends me back to Flipnote Studio.

Homebrew DS(i) NOOB PARADISE - Ask questions here

Oh wow! Not having to use Unlaunch is a big relief! Thank you for you answers, it is very helpful! TWiLight Menu++ 1. Can the graphical assets for TWiLight Menu++ be edited as well? Can the intro be removed, or should the intro be there because the menu is loading? Can I edit the menu theme to...

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
