    That sounds good to me.

I didn't quite follow all of that, but I personally have no interest in playing in an improper aspect ratio if that is what's being discussed.

Homebrew TWPatcher - DS(i) mode screen filters and patches

I thought it was pretty quick on New XL, I was expecting 5 or 6 minutes and it took about 2. I tested linear sharpen 1 on a few Pokemon games and it's a noticeable improvement in sharpness. I'm really looking forward to the GBA version whenever its ready, GBA games look pretty bad on my 3DS.

Homebrew TWPatcher - DS(i) mode screen filters and patches

I find this really interesting, but I just want to be certain how you would go about undoing it before I try anything. From reading this thread and the other thread, I gather that to undo this you would delete the cxi file in luma/sysmodules, and turn off loading extgernal FIRMs and modules in...

Tutorial Infinite Picrites on Pokemon Picross

Can I do this hack using Checkpoint for the backing up and restoring of the save file? Never mind, I followed the guide using SaveDataFiler and it worked.

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

I haven't experienced any crashes, but I also haven't spent any real time playing the games. I was just concerned with getting my save file to load. I also haven't tried any cheats or themes, so I can't help you with any of your questions.

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

A bit of an update: As an experiment I dumped my SoulSilver cartridge to try using that ROM with my save file instead of the ROM I had used before, but it still wouldn't load the save file. I AP patched the ROM both times with DS-Scene Rom Tool. Anyone have any thoughts? My next experiment was...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Yeah, I placed it where the other save files were, the other ones all worked. And a detail I didn't mention is that when the game failed to load the save file I proceeded to start a new game and create a new save file in-game. This save file never appeared on the SD card when I checked for it...

Homebrew [DS(i)/3DS] TWiLight Menu++ - GUI for DS(i) games, and DS(i) Menu replacement

Hello. I just installed this on my old 2DS with CFW, and then I tried to import some save files from my real Pokemon DS game carts that I made with Checkpoint. Three of the games I tried worked, the imported saves loaded, but Pokemon Soul Silver started a fresh new game as if there was no save...

Hardware Any tips for aligning GBA SP screen cover?

I'm replacing a GBA SP housing and I'm fairly confident about the process aside from getting the new screen cover lined up just right on the old screen, does anyone have tips or guidance? From what I can tell looking at the old one, it's just kinda centered with overhang on all 4 sides. Do you...

Gaming Replacing GBA SP shell, question

Yeah been soaking the parts I want to keep in vinegar and then alcohol but I'm just going to replace everything I can, can't really soak this switch though cause it's attached to the motherboard. I'll try again once I get a look at the replacement switch that comes with the shell but it doesn't...

Gaming Replacing GBA SP shell, question

That does help me see what you're saying, but it just plain won't budge in that direction. If I pull it any harder I think it's gonna snap.

Gaming Replacing GBA SP shell, question

So you mean like pull it away from the side of the motherboard, with the mobo lying flat against the ground? Like pull it sideways horizontally? I tried messing around with it again, that thing isn't going anywhere. I'm convinced it's glued on, they must have changed it. This sucks cause I...

Gaming Replacing GBA SP shell, question

I have the GBA completely dismantled, the motherboard is all by itself with no parts attached to it other than the volume switch. That thing won't come off, I think I've pushed it hard enough in every direction that it would have popped off if it wasn't somehow glued on... I don't know. Doesn't...

Gaming Replacing GBA SP shell, question

Could you let me know what direction it comes off in? The power button was just loose in there, it fell out when I opened the old shell. I think it was just held in place by the two halves of the shell. Volume switch is really attached to the little slider, I tried pushing it in all directions...
