Factory Reset on a Wii just deletes personal data - your miis and game saves and such. It's not likely to (properly) remove homebrew. As for how to remove Riiconnect24... I don't know. I did a quick search, and found little beyond deleting the...

If you're thinking of https://gbatemp.net/threads/the-system-files-are-corrupted-garbled-text.641286/ we never heard back from that poster what worked, if anything.

Short answer: try putting the game in the folder that should already exist: roms/MAME2003/coreE2. That might be enough for it to appear alongside the other mame arcade games and boot using coreE2. If that doesn't work, you'll have to understand...

In the abstract? Sure. But Wii development shouldn't be expected to follow a general rule like that. Most of these emulators are built on the same tool set, and often ported by single individuals, of varying skill. I'd expect it's way closer to...

There are no fewer than five different versions of snes9x on Wii. You mentioned rx and tx. Have you tried any of the retroarch implementations? I use RA-HEXAECO Next.

I suspect differential performance on a single platform is a game-specific issue. You didn't mention how you put the Wii games on the SD card. I use Wii Backup Manager (available via Modmii). You could try re'installing' the problematic games...

Exidous replied to the thread Newb question..
Okay, try to figure out what software is running Mario 64. The default emulator pause buttons for Not64 are X+Y on a Gamecube controller. A game not starting is almost certainly not due to save issues. If it's not starting at all, something else...

Exidous replied to the thread Newb question..
Modded Wiis usually have different software for each console of games. For example (your Wii may be different): Gamecube games - Nintendont N64 games - Not64 SNES games - SNES9xgx If *Wii* games are not saving, that would be very strange. But...

Priiloader is the simplest solution to skipping the Wii system menu. It has settings so that exiting software takes you to a specified app, and can autoboot a specified app when the Wii initially starts up.

The contents of a wad container are usually app files. https://wiibrew.org/wiki/ShowMiiWads See https://gbatemp.net/threads/extracting-00000001-app.525012/

I don't have experience with factory reset, but I expect it's both overkill and ineffective for what you're describing. The odds of a 15 year old backup of the operating system (working) fixing your problem seem remote, and it almost certainly...

I don't have personal experience with this, but I know that others have used a network switch to connect among Wiis using Nintendont's BBA emulation - that is, not direct connection via crossover cable.

You may be right about it being a hardware issue, fundamentally. But assuming that's the case, it's strange that restoring nand backups will alter performance. Have you considered rehacking your Wii? If it is a software issue that worsens over...

I assume the reference is to the NTSC-J version. from the OP: So I think the question is: why take NTSC-U (eng audio, bad eng subtitles) and mod into Japanese audio, corrected english subtitles, when you can take NTSC-J (jpn audio, bad eng...

Modmii uses showmiiwads to extract wads for emunands I've never personally used a wad manager or usbloader to install content to emunands, I always felt it wasn't very stable.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Some temporary storage
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
