No that'd be bad and would probably kill the SD card.
Maybe you've got your schematic mirrored? If I remember correctly it's Pin3 to GND and 4 to Vcc. Be careful 👍
I actually have made the bypass mod to the back ports as it wouldn't charge all devices correctly before. I'm thinking of doing it for the front USBs as well so that module seem to let it draw pass 3a @15v, I should actually confirm this with an wall power meter.
The PDC004 would be perfect for...
Hi Ploggy, I didn't look too deep into it, but I got stuck trying to understand if we had any kind implementation of the libogc already in the WiiU "branch" or not. That's where I got lost unfortunately. I haven't heard back from Wiimpathy either. One can only hope someone more knowledgeable...
I made a dongle the other day and it seems to be able to charge 2x wiimotes and 1x gamepad while running Zelda BOTW. I used this decoy module (which can change voltages with a solder bridge) and a WiiU power plug . A 3d-printed little face plate and I'd look decent.
Hi @Wiimpathy !
I know it's been a while since you made these contributions to the wii port of RA, but I wonder if you know how much work I'd take to also have these changes made for the Wii U port?
Damn good work, it only makes sense WiiMotes should work as pointing devices in RA :)
I've made...
I found my old instructions and I seem to have linked myself a snes9x core now using these steps (from your docker):
Build a core within a [core name]/libretro/ such as snes9x: make platform="wiiu"
Rename the libretro_snes9x2010_wiiu.a -> libretro_wiiu.a and place it in the root of Retroarch...
That is great! I might have some spare time on my hands this week, I'll try to have a look.
Right now I'm trying to set up that docker container you provided (much obliged!), although I'm running into some problems
@EnterpriseFreak nice job!
I wonder if a clip-together design would be able to shrink the footprint even more?
Another plus is that you wouldn't need screws.
Hi @ploggy!
I'd love to hear your opinion on how plausible do you think this feature would be?
I'm not sure if there are limitations in how the wiimotes are read i Wii U mode.
I'd love to see such guide!
If you don't mind, what would be the general aproach for achieving this? I don't mind tinkering and micro soldering.
I'm the kind of person who bypass the 500mA limit of the USB in order to charge gamepads, multiple WiiMotes and running a harddrive.
Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.
@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
