Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

100% agree with above but will add that once you figure the process out, it’s very doable so long as you’ve familiarized yourself with GIMP and have good source material for the overlay (which can be difficult to find for games first published in the late-70’s and early-80’s). With really good...

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Hey Simone, try enabling JLP when opening. I believe that addressed the issue for me. That‘s on a list of a few outstanding items I was going to send @wavemotion‘s way for the next update.

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

I believe there were 125 original games. Probably another 75-100 homebrews and unreleased games have been made available since. Edit: looks like there have been 116 official homebrew releases plus numerous other unofficial releases, so that number is likely closer to 150-175 additional games.

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Just added 73 overlays to my original post here. They are organized in batches that mirror those used for manuals. Everything with a manual (excluding Istar and Grail of the Gods) has an overlay. Also added overlays for future "Batch 6" including: Super Pro Astrosmash, World Championship...

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Here are my first two attempts at custom overlays - Space Battle and SameGame/Robots. Still experimenting to determine what layout plays best, but so far I'm partial to left thumb on the Dpad/Circle Pad and right thumb for buttons and overlays. I've also replaced the meta-function buttons with...

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Just added another round of manuals to my original post. Batch 4 includes Diner, Happy Trails, Loco-Motion, Mountain Madness Super Pro Skiing, Sharp Shot and Stampede. Enjoy!

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

My vote is to retain the existing pixel increment and independent left/right shift options in addition to any new presets, as they can really help maximize the “squareness” of games like Loco-motion, Lady Bug, Mousetrap, Reversi, etc. The left/right shift often helps with tweaking the view for...

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

The white font is much appreciated, thank you! To celebrate, I've added six more manuals to my original post. "Batch 3" includes Bump 'N' Jump, Dig Dug, Lady Bug, Mouse Trap, Q*bert and (Duncan's) Thin Ice.

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Just added four more manuals to my original post - Burgertime!, Super Chef Burgertime!, Buzz Bombers and Grail of the Gods. If anyone is looking for a good source of text based manuals for most of the original 125, try searching "dp library intellivision manuals".

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Here are ten more manuals, including: 2048, Aardvark, Astrosmash, Atlantis, Beamrider, Beauty and the Beast, Dwarven Mine, Flapee Bird, Goatnam and Istar. Quite a few homebrews included, mainly so I could run up the score and stay motivated! I'm planning to continue to chip away in the coming...

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Here's my first attempt at an instruction manual for Cloudy Mountain. It's an abbreviated but still fairly informative version of the original.

Homebrew Emulation Introducing Nintellivision - an Emulator for the DS/DSi

Hey Dave, followed you over from AtariAge. Just installed this on my new (used) 2DS XL and it's working great! The custom overlay capability is just too cool to ignore, and in fact I hope to create overlays for a number of other games to add to this thread. I would also agree that an option...
