More the anti-trans rhetoric that I assume was only said to take heat off the HS2 decision. It's also absolutely insane to me that he'd announce HS2 being cancelled to Manchester, while also deciding to host the conference in Manchester. My God what a timeline we're in.

Highspeed rail 2 - basically the government was building highspeed rail reaching from London to the north along 2 routes

Anyhow they gave up on it, after already buying all the properties along the route and signing contracts with those responsible for building the rail - so the gov is about to lose a ton of money selling the property back and on cancellation fees for the construction contracts

That is cheap. Love it they advertise false info, like 11" screen, but in specs it says 10.5". Like TVs do same all the time.
