    The method I have been thinking about is taking out the hard drive and installing a new OS onto it, like windows or a linux distro, but I do not know whether it would work. If not is there any way i can replace the OS with that of a desktop OS?

    I bought a used PSP for £40 and obviously I asked to try it before I bought it, when I got home I tried to turn it on while it was plugged to mains and it wouldn't boot, the led would go from red to green then after a few seconds it would go back to red, but it boots when the charger isn't on...
