Super Mario RPG - How to extract animations

The game has leaked and I want to be right on top of ripping the models and animations. The romFS can be dumped with Yuzu and the .bundle files can be viewed somewhat in AssetStudioGUI. Texture2D entries are scrambled but meshes can be exported as .obj and easily into Blender where the UV...

    Fishing North Atlantic assets

I'm trying to get some models/animations from a Switch game called Fishing North Atlantic. So far I've done this: Did a romFS dump with Yuzu Extracted .PAK files with UnrealPAK.exe Looked through assets with umodel.exe Unfortunately though, I'm finding nothing of significance...

    Castlevania Judgement Model Animations

Does anybody know anything about the model animations in this game? They seem to be in a format that the brres viewer cannot read.

Hacking Animation from Switch model format isn't working

I have a dump of NSW Link's Awakening models and I'm trying to get the animation working. They look great in Switch-Toolbox and the .DAE format looks great in Blender. The problem is that when I try to import a .SMD into Blender everything gets messed up. The model will also animate as if there...

Resident Evil 3 GameCube Inventory Slot Modifiers

The reason I made these cheats was to find a way to skip the park and factory parts of the game. It was not possible to use the item box modifiers for this because of some anti-cheat programming in the game. Also, to get the codes working you will have to disable/re-enable them once. The menu...

Anybody up to hack Doom 64?

I just coded my archive program to read the Doom 64 IWAD and save it back as a normal .WAD if desired. The problem though is that I'm not familiar with the other data types in the WAD. It is particularly the map format I'd like to crack.

    Tray Launcher Sharp

Tray Launcher Sharp is a dynamic, customizable, menu system for starting programs. It works in an inheritable fashion where command arguments can be concatenated on each level. It has been reengineered in C# and is supposed to be free of any bugs present in previous incarnations.

Final Fantasy - 4 Heroes of Light Models/Animations/Textures

I am trying to get these resources from Final Fantasy and into Blender or Noesis but I don't really know how. In Every FIle Explorer I can dump what appears to be these files. A quick decompress w/ gbalzss seems to work but IDK what to do next. :moogle:

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
