Hacking Copy everything from one wii to another

Okay, good, I wasn't too fond of the nand copy method myself. Any idea what the mail copy program is? (not super important, but hey It'd be nice)

    Hacking Wii Brick:please help

Did you try the old cable before you tried revirginizing it? It sounds like you had the component cables plugged into the wrong place, ie you had the audio red cable plugged into the video orange spot. Anyway, it just seems to me that you jumped to extremes after the cable didn't work...

Hacking Copy everything from one wii to another

Hi, sorry for the noob question, but I was wondering how difficult it is to copy all the information from one wii to the other. What I've got is one wii with a vulnerable boot 2 and another without, and I want to swap them. Most important is just the saved games, settings, mail, records, etc...

    Hacking Nand Backup

Yeah. I was wondering the same thing actually. I've got one wii with a vulnerable boot 2 and another one without it and I want to swap all data (saved games, records, etc etc) Is this possible??? How hard is it?

Hacking Why do you hack your Wii?

Thanks for your responses guys. Keep her coming. It's interesting the different level of ethics everyone has on this issue. I'm like the majority here. I love having the extra functionality. I've learned from the PS2 days that Lasers don't last very long, so being able to load games from HD...

    Hacking Boot 1 problems

Same thing happened to me. Seriously Nintendo, don't you have an automatic nand flash fixing gizmo in your workshop?

Hacking I think I broke my wii

Did you do a bootmii backup. It seems that you didn't from what you posted. But if you did, couldn't you just restore the wii with the NAND backup and start over?

Hacking Why do you hack your Wii?

I'm doing an Ethnography project in my college English class. I thought I'd see if I could get some feedback from this forum. My project is about illegal copying of copyrighted media among college aged people. Of course, anyone of any age is free to answer. Hopefully it's okay to post this...

    Hacking WBFUSE (WBFS for FUSE)

cool, now for a way to mount wbfs on linux remotely, then I don't have to hassle with unplugging the usb drive from the wii... seriously, I'm that lazy.

Hacking Wii Updated by game and backup launcher don't work anymore.

I would definitely run bootmii and make a backup of your nand though, especially if you can install it as boot2. I bricked my wii trying to recover homebrew after a nintendo update (mostly because I'm stupid, but better safe than sorry right?)

    Hacking WiiNanD

Wait wait... from what it looks like you can use an infectus and a program like this one to read/write to a wii's nands, thus fixing a permabrick? (that would have been nice to know before I paid nintendo to "fix" (replace) my bricked wii)

    Hacking I got the shaft

Anyway, I was reading on the internet (http://hackmii.com/2008/06/dual-nand-flash-hack/) someone made a nand reader/writer that you could attach to the wii. I guess Nintendo doesn't have one of those?

    Hacking I got the shaft

Hey, maybe I will. Is there a way to swap the nands between two different wiis. Say if I wanted to swap with my buddy who's wii has a vulnerable boot1 but copy over all his data including gameplay records, mii's, etc etc etc.

    Hacking I got the shaft

So I bricked my wii (pretty stupid) and I paid 85 to get it fixed. When I sent it to nintendo they sent me back a replacement, not my old one. And the new one won't let me install bootmii as boot 2 That kinda sucks. Is it really that much more awesome to have a boot 2?

Hacking Did I just brick my wii? 4.2u

I'm WAY out of warranty... WAIT... maybe I'm not, I think I got a two year warranty from game stop, I'll have to look into that. Good idea. Yeah, I should have just thought about it longer instead of jumped into re-doing everything *kick kick kick* I did try reinstalling cIOSrev14, but for some...

Hacking Did I just brick my wii? 4.2u

Thanks for breaking it to me gently. Ah well, at least Wii's are down in price. I was looking at a forum about a DIY nand programmer, but it seems out of my scope... I wonder how much a bricked wii goes for on ebay...
