    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Would it be possible to have a 256x224 output option for SNES games? This would be useful for external scalers as it would allow them to perform the stretch to 4:3 while not providing sharper results.

    Hacking USB Loader GX

I swear I tried looking before asking this, but where do I put the Wii WBFS files on the SD card if I want to boot them from there?

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

In the OP it lists the input lag as being a frame or less

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Running into a strange bug. I’m using the latest fork. I was using turbo mode and the game crashed (I was playing the MSU-1 Super Mario RPG) and when reloading the game was incredibly laggy and was unplayable. I copied the SRAM and snapshot to a new ROM of the original Super Mario RPG and it was...

    Homebrew Snes9x RX - A new fork.

Never tried the overclock before due to the manual steps. But having it activate right away, color me interested!

    Homebrew ROM Hack Defeating Devolution

Incredible job with this, I’ll have to look into this more. Extrems has recommended Diivolution

    Hacking Fixing vWii Mode

Aside from the chroma issues, you are still looking at solving scaling issues in all output resolutions (with 1080p being the most accurate scale). If you are looking for the best native hardware experience for Wii titles, it’s going to be on a Wii with a dedicated upscaler like the Retrotink...

Homebrew Homebrew app Bloopair: Connect Controllers from other Consoles natively

You can only connect them as individual controllers, not two as one

Misc Nintendo Wii U 1080p vs 480p output for Virtual Wii

I The large majority of TV’s do not use nearest neighbor to upscale 1080p content to 4K, or 4K to 8k. They use an interpolated method as that looks better for video based content which is what TV’s are designed for. Again, most CRT’s out there are SD which max at 480i, and not HD. Here is a...

Misc Nintendo Wii U 1080p vs 480p output for Virtual Wii

No, it’s showing a TV upscaling an improperly scaled 480p stretched to the full TV, versus a much more proper scale to 1080p by the Wii U, then scaled by the TV. Most CRT’s do not do 480p, and even then the Wii U will look worse than the Wii running 480p because of the way the Wii U degrades...

Misc Nintendo Wii U 1080p vs 480p output for Virtual Wii

This is misleading, the 480p image has less visible aliasing because it has a loss of detail versus the 1080p image which scales more accurately. Just look at a checkerboard test pattern in 240p test suite via the homebrew launcher and you can see how blurry the pattern is in 480p mode.

Homebrew NTRView - Stream your 3DS on your Wii U

So I downloaded this to give it a try, but it’s really not working well for me. I’m using BootNTR CFW version 3.6 on New 3DSXL, and using the latest Wii U NTR release from the GitHub. I am using a LAN adapter on my Wii U to try and improve speeds, and using WiFi for the 3DS (which we have...

    Virtual Wii Deflicker Filter

I think the only way would be to modify the code of each individual game, but I’m not even sure if that has been done.

Homebrew Homebrew app Bloopair: Connect Controllers from other Consoles natively

Has anyone tried the GameCube style Switch wireless controllers with Bloopair? Could be a good alternative to a wavebird for Nintendont

Homebrew Any way to Inject Gameboy and Gameboy Color for the Wii U VC?

Today I tried the method outlined by AQS and it works really well. It’s a little odd double emulating (since converting GBC to GBA is just wrapping it in an emulator), but it doesn’t seem to affect performance much at all. The GBA emulation being already excellent certainly helps. Donkey Kong...

Hacking Wii U shuts down after starting a Gamecube Injection

I had my injects working then they suddenly stopped, updating Nintendont fixed it somehow. Also had issues with the Mayflash adapter causing a black screen. Disconnecting it before the game launched fixed that too. Those are the only ones I’m aware of

Differences between eShop Wii VC and Retail?

If I recall correctly the ROM for Animal Crossing Wild World has been updated because of the WiFi requirement before, and also the Super Mario Advance Super Mario Bros 3 has all the e-reader levels unlocked. Those aren’t normally available as far as I know

Bought Used WiiU, scratches I can handle but there is a gouge in the screen. Fix it or return it?

I'd return and try to buy one on eBay instead where you can see photos. I have two gamepads (got one as a backup), and neither have dead pixels at all.

    Homebrew WiiU Video Mode Changer

Sorry to bump such an old thread, but with Tiramisu launching is there a possibility of making this a program that can be ran at launch using a button combination? I plan on using my Wii U with component and HDMI for different things, so having a faster switching option would be cool! Not 100%...
