Code in a Box and almost empty cartridges need to stop.
They should release the games physical or digital only.
Or a physical release sometime later after the inital release with all patches included as special collectors edition.
And the must be clear what they deliver. It hasn't be our part...
If there is an option to pay for a cartridge with all the content but the only option is for a near empty cartridge for 60 €.
Also companys want to have maximum profit for minimum effort.
Switch cartridges are more expensive to produce then a bluray, so if companys want to port to the switch...
That's awesome. After the remasters of the first two titles i hoped that the third Turok also comes, but because it was N64 only with no pc port that there is no chance.
This is great news:toot:
Thanks for the info. Looked it up at other places on the internet, and then cancled my preorder.
Couldn't have thought they cheaped out on the cartridge.
So then that means install the GOG versions on my Steam Deck, play the original versions on their dedicated consoles or emulate it on devices...
If there is DRM it's more an issue for people that buy their games.
Look, for example, at the performance issues in Resident Village with DRM activated. They are also enough single player games with always-online-DRM (sucks big time on a Steam Deck if you travel). If you have internet at your...
Bought it instantly, not for Bethesda but for GOG. I have a Steamdeck and bought most games of Steam nowadays, out of convinence, but DRM-free games are worth supporting.
Also my GOG collection is much bigger than my Steam collection.
Big thx. I've tried to get ctrWolfen working for days now on my N3DSXL, not recognizing that rosalina was the problem. Now, thx to you, it works. :yay3ds:
The only issiue i have is the crackling audio in the game. Are they any fixes for that?
For the flashcard alone in a NDS Lite your tip helped @Robz8 but the flashcard refuses to work in DSiMenu++ and crashes the 3DS as mentioned in my quote.
I could not get the my flashcard to work. Unlike TW Loader there is no menu in DSiMenu ++ to select a flashcard. In TWLoader I used TWLoader to launch my roms from my DSTT that would normally not load in the 3DS home menu. Now nothing works. I copied all files as described in there locations on...
With Greiga Master's patches you have the option. You can play with or without touch controls at any given time. I found that great. Much like Animal Crossing on the Nintendo DS. That game I played frequently with touch and with buttons. Touch is good for one handed play.
If you need the ROM I can PN it to you or if you have a hacked WiiU you cann dump it using ddd. It's exactly the same ROM I dumped from my cartridge. ;)
But because you are now focust on another project that can wait. :)
If you finished that, then you can look at your sourcecode and what can be...
I've made as you said, and the building went fine, but if I start the game it boots, shows the copyright information and then I get a black screen.:(
And remaking the patch from scratch, even with the sourcecode, is way out of my knowledge.
I will give it a try. Should I use Windows or Linux for this? And where can I find "blz by CUE"? The other two I found, but not this one. For the others: it looks very complicated but I will try to get into it. Or is there some easier way?
So your only hope is that Greiga Master or any other person makes a new patch that can deal with the newest version, or you download the game from a rome site or I PN you the patch I made that patches the new version to the old.
I found it good if someone makes dump from his games and...
I've tried all things I could and even sucessfully decrypted the ROM, thanks to you, but its exactly the same that I dumped from my cartridge. So I downloaded the ROM from the old dump and this time it works flawlessly.:yay:
I've then made a Xdelta patch out of the 2 dumps to patch the new dump...
I dumped now the ROM contained in the Virtual Console Version of Spirit Tracks (EU) and the ROM is encrypted.

I dumped it now with Woodumper 3DS (https://gbatemp.net/threads/wooddumper-3ds-a-way-to-dump-original-ds-games-to-3ds-sd-card.436998/) and checked the cartridge with Wooddumper r89 Wifi...
I dumped the ROM in two different ways: with NDS Backup Tool 3in1 on my NDS Lite and with Godmode9 on my New 3DS XL.
It allways gives me the exact rom with a size of 128MB named "SPIRITTRACKS_BKIP01.nds"
