Hacking FST patcher new coldboot for WiiU

Certainly! As stated there, Maschell will be releasing a blog post about the discovery very soon :) Yep yep. As far as what this entails for the end-user, I will leave that up to Maschell and co. to tease, but I can promise you that the overall experience will be better than before. More...

Hacking FST patcher new coldboot for WiiU

This technically isn't quite a coldboot exploit. Coldboot exploits occur ealier in the boot process; like "ColdBoot" HaxChi, this setup only kicks in after the bootloader, and after some of CafeOS has loaded. This exploit was discovered by Maschell, and the tools for installing and uninstalling...

A better place to ask might be in the thread for the PC client you're using, e.g. TCPGecko, JGeckoU

Oh, go ahead, I don't mind picky. It's actually stylized that way on purpose. Thanks! Good point, I'll add that.

Hacking Mario Kart 8 Modding Central

Hiya! This thread is a collection of tools and resources relating to modding Mario Kart 8. These links pertain to the Wii U version of the game first and foremost, but many of the resources - such as Switch Toolbox - apply to the Deluxe version of the game. The original Mario Kart 8 Modding...

Homebrew Citra - Unofficial \ Chinese builds discussion

You keep on saying that we push away newcomers just for asking questions, which isn't the case. If we close/unlist someone's support thread, it's usually because: - Their answer can easily be found in the FAQ (A lot of people fall into this one.) - They don't provide enough info to help (Keep...

Homebrew Citra - Unofficial \ Chinese builds discussion

Citra moderator here. If you have a problem with the way we moderate our forums, I'm always open to constructive criticism on how to improve. EDIT: And, as for the first part of your message that's just not the case. If it seems like no development is happening, we (AKA the writers :p) are...

Hacking [RELEASE] Mario Kart 8 Hack Pack

I have a bit of a problem with this. What makes you think you can go and make the CTGP distribution for Mario Kart 8 without being competent when it comes to modding? Mr. Bean and Chadderz developed the very tools used to make Mario Kart Wii custom tracks, and PabloMK7 is skilled at modeling and...

    Hacking [release] GTX Extractor

Twitter would probably be the best place to follow progress. When/if I get textures to show, I'll put it on Github. When/if I get something useful to show with the FMDL, then I'll probably make a thread. However, since this is a very ambitous project, I'd rather not make a thread until then...

    Hacking [release] GTX Extractor

Yep, I realized that later. Yeah, I didn't realize that GTX Extractor was a thing until I was already making progress in the BFLIM script. Thanks! He doesn't seem too active here so I'll send him a message on Reddit.

    Hacking [release] GTX Extractor

Hi, I'm currently going through GTX Extractor (And BFLIM Extractor too, I'm just looking at in the Swizzle_BC part which seems to be the same throughout both), and am documenting all of my findings for my own project. Would you mind explaining, in AddrLib_computeSurfaceAddrFromCoordMacroTiled()...

    Hacking Koopa's Browser Slotloader

Yeah, the starter pack of payloads are for 5.5.0 and 5.5.1. You can either get the payloads yourself, or update to 5.5.1. (Just in case you've been out of the loop, IOSU hax is coming and soon and updating to 5.5.1 is highly recommended, see the 5.3.2 paragraph here)

Homebrew 2ds no longer boots properly after installing arm9loaderhax

Not necessarily, a 2DS I A9LH'd wouldn't show the old firm error message despite being on 2.1, it would just black screen. I just continued with the guide, restoring the backup, and that worked out fine.

    Hacking Koopa's Browser Slotloader

I'm well-aware. FYI I made this a while ago, I just haven't posted here until now. This has a slightly different goal than the other hosts. The goal of this is to be able to drag and drop your own BINs/MP4s without having to manually edit a text file or deal with HTML payloads. Please at least...

    Hacking Koopa's Browser Slotloader

Koopa's Browser Slotloader This is a web page I made for easily running BIN and MP4 payloads from folders on your computer without dealing with extra HTML files. It also looks like the Wii U Home Menu. Download Latest Version (1.0) Usage Local Hosting In order to use this, you'll need your own...

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
