An update: I was showing it to a friend when my TV said "480p" upon boot-up. I was even able to connect a controller, but unfortunately no picture, and I was only able to get it to do this once. I'm sending it back to the technician tomorrow if it still doesn't work next morning.
I sent my CECHA PS3 system to have the CD laser replaced. When I got it back, I plugged it in, not realizing that the power switch was in the On position, and the light immediately turned green. Despite this, there was no picture, and I couldn't connect a controller. I tried booting into safe...
I'll do that too and get back to you.
EDIT: So he gave me a used battery that he "tested" in his Neo Geo Pocket and thought it would be alright to give. Apparently it wasn't. I told him to buy me a fresh battery and to let me borrow his multimeter. I'll also check the battery holder for bad...
No unfortunately. I don't have a multimeter anymore (I don't really fix consoles for fun, it's just something I like doing every once in a while). I may end up having to call and ask him where he got the battery.
A few days ago the clock quit working on my friend's PS2, so I figured the battery had croaked. Since it's expensive to take it to a game store and replace it (half the price of buying a new one), I offered to do it for free. He gives me the system and a loose battery, I take two hours...
I just got FreeMcBoot working on my PS2 and I had an old Fujitsu IDE hard drive lying around (it looks like this). I arranged the jumpers on the drive to "Master" and tried formatting in wLaunchElf but when I say "OK", it immediately fails. The drive spins and there's a green light that flashes...
Uuuugh, I was afraid of that. I have a second PS3 I've been planning to jailbreak but it's broken (needs a repasting and capacitor replacement) It's a CECHE, my main PS3 is a CECHA which I just had fixed up. I just didn't want to switch PS3s just to play a DLC track lol.
Hello, I just got a PS3 and a copy of The Beatles Rock Band. I know the DLC has been delisted ages ago but is there any way for me to put the DLC on my system without modding it?
I can say that the floors are carpeted. I've talked to a friend and they only had one noise problem but they issued a complaint and management took care of it. They live on the second floor.
Apartment dwellers, how is living on a middle floor? I plan to rent my first apartment soon but the apartment I want is on the third floor of a four-story building as the top floor apartments are too expensive. I'm concerned about noise from my potential upstairs neighbors. The complex I'm...
A whataburger jr with cheese, ketchup and bacon.
I was stuffed from Thanksgiving lunch (we eat Thanksgiving lunch at my house, not dinner), and I didn't want much.
I rarely play non-Nintendo games these days. I was a late adopter of the PS4 (bought it two years ago) and mostly bought one to replace my slow af Blu-Ray Player. Might as well buy one that plays video games while I'm at it.
In fact, that's the only reason I'm even considering buying a PS5, to...
Everytime I see talk of the PS5 or the Xbox Series X/S and their fancy new 4k ray-traced 60fps graphics, all I feel is "meh."
I remember when a new console generation was exciting. I remember being amazed at how the Wii U had HD graphics or how sleek and sophisticated the PS4 and its UI looked...
i got a PS3 from a friend but the fan runs really loud and it yellow-lights three minutes into Gran Turismo 6. My local game store won't fix it. What's a good place to send it to?
I needed a new webcam (the one I have is ass) and I looked online and nothing's being sold at market price. All of the webcams I'm seeing are priced at $200+. Is it because of people working/doing class from home?
Only thing drive me crazy is all these new horror games nowadays is its so dark, all time. I can't even play them. I understand they trying to create spooky but be creative a little, not just darkness with pop out scare scenes.
