Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I've had good results with SK and Samsung reballs, but Toshiba seems to be more sensitive. Two went bust after trying to reball. I do 350C one minute then 400C for 10 sec to remove it, 350C to put it back on. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

This is a dat0 error.. The reason you "sometimes" don't get a glitch is because of the dat0 adaptor. If you want a reliable constant glitch you need to either reball the emmc and solder a direct wire underneath it, or drill that point out. Both are challenging in their respective ways. I...

You really are the real deal. Thanks. I'm used to adding a resistor when I get "slow emmc" error, this was a new learning curve for me. Thanks again.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I'd appreciate any intake on this: I Modded an OLED with reballing and the back mosfet method. I got a glitch and was able to dump a full backup on hekate. eMMc info intact. The issue is that it does not boot to OFW. I get the Nintendo logo then black screen. No Switch logo. It's also a black...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hello, How's everyone doing? For the first time I got a Toshiba OLED, Installed Picofly normally but I'm getting all sorts of mixed up errors and purple screens. Checked all wires and CMD is giving 4.7ko. I'm reading old posts that Picofly is having issues with Toshiba, has this been fixed in...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

It really is weird that many report a failure to glitch in a one-MOSFET setup. I've stopped using two MOSFETs since 20ish OLEDS ago. It's particularly strange because your last pic shows meticulous work and a great solder amount. I can only think of Solder wire conductivity as the reason for...

This is pretty good amount, weird it didnt wotk. I’ve done 10+ back installations all worked nicely, I recommend trying Mechanic TY-V866 solder wire

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Hello guys, What is the difference between these two errors? **= No eMMC block 1 read (should not happen) *=* No eMMC block 0 read (eMMC init failure?) Based on a couple of OLEDs, it seems to me that block 1 is dead eMMC, and block 0 is related to poor reballing. Could anyone confirm?

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Thanks. I did that and got mmcblk0, mmcblk0boot0, and mmcblk0boot1. I attacked each with dd and was able to inject boot0 and boot1to my eMMC, but rawnand is giving me all sorts of headaches. sometimes I'd get "input/output error occured" and others it'd just give no space available. I should...

Thanks. How do I make sure of that? Do you see anything wrong in the commands I shared? 1695420105 Neat. I got to say I'm in love with your microscope.

Thanks, Snaker. I followed all your restore steps, but after doing the sudo dd of=/dev/mmcblk0 if=rawnand.bin. It runs for a minute then gives an error " no space left" I'm using an eMMC from another broken Switch. Please advise.

Help restoring Switch eMMC with mmcbllk-NX

Hello, I got the mmcblk-NX tool that allows reading boot0 and boot1. I'd appreciate your help on this: I got plenty of eMMCs from broken switches, and I wanted to use one to restore my Lite ( I got all the backup for it). so I picked a random eMMC from another switch and executed: sudo dd...

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

Yes, it happened to me in both CLK and Dat0. Readings ok but boots to OFW. That's always an installer issue. I no longer do Dat0 adaptors because it's a hit-and-miss at this point. Even good Aliexpress vendors would later ship shitty adaptors. Nothing beats a good reball, be a reballer!

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I've been doing a single mosfet on the back ever since it came out. Works great. I like to think the issue is almost always not enough solder. I'm always generous with the amounts on D and S. Maybe some pics? Here's a fast-glitching install:

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I got the 'slow emmc" message that was fixed by adding a 100ohm resistor only twice in my 100+ installations. That's why I don't choose to do it regularly.
