    Permanent RCM mode?

Thanks for the reply! Sorry I wasn't clear, I would like to disable autoRCM but am unable to do it in Hekate as it already shows as disabled. Was wondering if I rebuild the Nand if that would fix it? First time dealing with this issue.

    Permanent RCM mode?

I have a V1 unpatched switch that only boots via Hekate - semi stock, sysMMC, and emuMMC launch options all boot successfully. Booting without using Hekate results in a black screen. Doing some more troubleshooting, the switch is in RCM mode as if I insert a rcm loader, it injects the payload...

Replace OLED eMMC with 32 GB?

Ok thanks for the confirmation. In the sthetix level 3 video, he doesn't restore boot0/1, do you know why not? I would think I'd need to restore boot0/1 in my case?

Replace OLED eMMC with 32 GB?

Thanks for the reply! Unfortunately, I got an error when trying to dump prodinfo. This pretty much means I need to use Level 3 unbrick procedures? Meaning the switch will not be able to go online correct?

Replace OLED eMMC with 32 GB?

Has anyone replaced the OLED eMMC with a smaller one? I have an OLED with a bad Nand and wondering if I can replace with a 32 gb one. My understanding is just the user partition will be smaller. I've seen others upgrading to bigger nands but no one going smaller lol. This OLED has the slow eMMC...

Does anyone know the value of this cap (circled in black) from the eMMC board? Also would I be able to steal one from a rp2040 tiny? Don't have any zeros unfortunately.

Yes, OFW was working fine before modding. No defects with the original MAX77812 and the new one looked good and sits nicely. Do you have a good diagram to check for the phase voltages? Just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly.

Hacking Hardware Picofly - a HWFLY switch modchip

I have the same problem on a Lite as well. Sadly my problem wasn't the MAX77812 as I've replaced it but still have the blue screen. I have some blank nands coming and will try putting a new one on. Hopefully it's just a corrupted nand but I don't understand why it would work on another console...

I had the EXACT same symptoms, sometimes worked with no animation. Drove me crazy checking everything. Only fixed it months later when someone posted the solution on another forum.

Mechanic 138* solder. Same stuff I apply to the USB port anchor holes before wicking them clean.

I like this approach better and will try this. I was using the low melt as I found it helped to wick away the old solder more cleanly but you're right about the mixing with sn63/pb37. Thank you.

Ok that was what I was doing previously... 350* C and yes always checked the balls. I'm getting much better consistency now in terms of the sizes. 1704940839 Ok yes something to consider for sure. Do you have a good method for cleaning the flux residue? I am assuming this is the flux under the...

Further to my issues using the eMMC adapter, now I've had 2 OLEDs come back needing reballing when not even using the adapter so it's definitely my technique. Hoping for some tips from the pros else I'm gonna need to learn the kamikaze method  Here's my current process: 1. Add flux...
