Here is help with save editing this game
[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_FvNm7DSfg_IffA28DYZmotfEjWQFCUyACRsOq18YgE/htmlview]
I posted a completed save here
https://gbatemp.net/threads/eiyuden-chronicle-hundred-heroes-save-file.655285/

There is a bat file to add all characters Just drop save on to it.
There now also bat file to add individual character read the readme in zip on how to do it
I have included a switch, ps4 ( save wizard exported) and gamepass save to help work out how to port saves between them. Jb ps4 saves have a extra 4 bytes at beginning of save which is whole size of save minus 4 in little endian but other that save as sw exported ones. I have tested a switch save on gamepass and it worked i haven't tested the reverse. the main differences if you open save i hex editor or notepad++ is "_appVersionCode" at beginning of save gamepass doesn't seem bothered if this is different but not sure about other platforms.
Steam Saves are Encrypted/Compressed

Is it possible to convert the saved file from the Switch version of the game to a PC?
It should but you might need to open your save and switch save change something at beginning. I have tested a switch save with game pass by renaming save but not sure if it works the other way.

My experience is that the PC version is compressed and the Switch version is not and that they therefore can't be transferred. There's probably some way around this but I can't figure it out myself.

I'm just hopeful that the devs will make the Switch version perform much better with future updates, so I can stick with it. But right now, I'm already late into the game, despite its nagging issues with the sticky menu and random freezing or crashing.

Are you unzipping all files as it should at least tell you characters names and item names. The save editor is very limited. You should download notepad++. In notepad++ go to plugins then click plugins admin. Find jstool in plugins admin click it and install. Now open your save with notepad++ everything will be on one line. Go to plugins then jstool then click jsformat it will now convert save to json where it will break up save into sections. You can also in jstool click json viewer which will open a tree menu of the sections so you can explore and fast travel. Mod what you want use the spreadsheet in first post for help. After you finished go to plugins then jstool and click jsmin and then you can save

There no stats to mod except weapon level but it's capped to 15 the character gets stats from levelling up, equipment and runes.
so there's no way to edit str-def-spd, etc with the save editor?
How about gameplay time then?
Haven't gotten to such a part but I'm guessing this will have something like Clive's quest on Suiko 2 so editing gameplay time would be good

If you have the GOG version - unfortunately, its saves are compressed or encrypted the same way the Steam ones are, so it won't work for this either unless someone can figure out a workaround.

    Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Speaking of which
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
