Retron 5 PAL region cheats

Hi everyone.

I have a Retron 5 and have followed the instructions on the Retron 5 website for adding cheats to the SD card.

However I've noticed they many of my games come up with a 'no cheats for this game' message. Even games where I know there are Game Genie codes.

After some trial and error I noticed all of my Mega Drive games have no cheat codes, but my Genesis ones do. This led me to think that maybe the cheat database is lacking PAL codes? None of my NES games seem to have codes.

Is it possible to add other cheat files in addition to those that can be downloaded on the Retron 5 website? Eg can I just use the Retroarch cheat databases?

    ...He was a bit taken aback by the 60GB download size. Poor guy's still living in the 90s!

    @K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
