I plan on purchasing a new DS Lite and a backup cart.
I've been browsing the boards and read that some hardware may be incompatible.
In no way am I trying to sound standoff-ish, but I am a person of practicality, meaning I need stuff to work at least 95% of the time.
I don't have a lot of patience for items that have a lot of intermittent problems.
I would prefer having a gba cart vs. sd/cf card because high capacity SD/CF cards are expensive.
NDS and GBA gaming are my top priorities, homebrew, emulation, etc. are not that important.

I've been eyeing the G6 3rd Gen 2GB, so would this satisfy all my requirements? Or do you have any recommendations for other units.

Thank you for reading this!

first, you're in the wrong forum.

second, the 3rd gen of G6 2gig is outdated and expensive. There are better ones out there for fraction of the price. External memory cards aren't very expensive. G6 2gig is actually 256megabytes. Flashcart people like to use bits beucase it's their tradition.

Third, there are a lot of options out there and if u're too impatient to look through all of them and figure out to urself which one if right for you as it is extremely easy, then you don't deserve to get a flash cart.

Go to the front page, look over at the GBAtemp emulation terms and figure it out yourself.

Why am i such an asshole? Because this forum has been completely filled with these threads and each of them ask the same thing!

now if u'll excuse me, i'll stop wasting my time and finish by clicking "add reply"

thanks for reading.
