Long time ago, 2003 to be precise, I got as a gift a Nintendo GameCube (with AV and DIGITAL VIDEO ports) alongside a copy of Zelda Collector's Edition.
Slowly as years passed by, I built a not so bad "library" of original games.
Used to had MegaMan Anniversary Collection, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III and Metroid Prime... sold them in order to eat alongside many more other GBA/GBC cartridges and Gameboy Consoles.
Anyways...
Fast forward to today, I'm downloading GAMECUBE isos as I have a spare 16GB SD card... so why not?
Realizing that I'm going to need an extra Memory Card... suddenly, I remember that I had one inside one of those games... so I took it out in order to clean it with some Isopropyl Alcohol.
When I compared my two Memory Cards, I noticed that the one that's been stored for years... had Phillips Screws... I immediately thought:
I took my screwdriver... and guess what I saw?
Can you guess which one had Phillips Screws?
EDIT: I later found that both are pirate cards. The only og card I own is the Animal Crossing one. Weirdly, the fake card with the chip (above) has Tri-Wings screws which are used by Nintendo, so I thought that it was an original card. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I can't believe 20 years later I'm noticing that I've had a fake memory card for decades... which explains why everytime I saved Monkey Ball 2, it suddenly got corrupted erasing all my other save files.
I'm realizing now that probably has fake space.
Anyway... I'm not sure... I think I'm going to use the Fake one exclusively for physical copies, as it never had troubles with that amount of save files (as long as I don't save Monkey Ball 2...) and I'll use the seemingly original looking one exclusively for Nintendont savefiles.
This is so fucking random... how did I managed to acquire a pirate Memory Card?
