I thought there would be no other games could top Alien Isolation. Well, until I played resident evil 2 remake. The game's atmosphere is terrifying. The lighting, the sound design, the music, the zombies, the music, EVERYTHING is terrifying. I bought a DLC to unlock all the bonus (infinity ammos). That helped a bit, but not so much to reduce the horror (I never finished any RE game without cheating because I am crap playing the series).
Too bad it doesn't incorporate the elements from stealth games such as hiding or stealth kills. The only way to run from zombies is by shooting them until they are being incapacitated a bit or escape to another room (IF they don't open the doors). I wouldn't mind a mechanic where I can hide beneath a desk, inside shelf like Alien isolation to spare the ammos really.
Anyway, great game definitely giving me a heart attack!
