Somehow sega forgot to let you set free play in HOTD2... In HOTD3, it unlocks as normal.
Did a quick save game edit.
Please do not select "credits" in the game configuration menu (HOTD2) - it will roll back to the default of 5.
As such, if you want to change the blood color / exit after changing difficulty or lives, use up on the d-pad.
DIY:
replace at offset 802, write bytes as FE (unpack your data.bin and use the house of the dead 2 data file as input.)
