Review Approach:

I love this game so much. I beat it a few years ago and it's just one of the best things ever created.
Donkey Kong Country Returns is a Wii platformer where you get bananas and beat up the guys who steal your bananas
This game gets a 10/10 from me. For starters, the graphics are so amazing. It even surpasses many Wii U games in terms of appearance.
The levels are difficult but not in a cheap way. They are just hard enough to challenge the player, and separate real gamers from noobs.
One of the most critically acclaimed aspects of Donkey Kong Country Returns (and personally one of my favorite parts) is getting to grab a lot of bananas. They are everywhere, and you will be rewarded handsomely for collecting an abundance of these delicious yellow fruits.

Playing as Donkey Kong is awesome due to how strong he is. He harbors many moves along with his partner, Diddy Kong!
If you have a friend to play with you, (consider yourself lucky for having a friend XD), they will be delighted to play as Diddy Kong becuase unlike other monkeys, he is equipped with a jetpack. He can glide in the air shortly which can make levels a lot easier.

Overall, Donkey Kong Country Returns is fun, challenging, and an experience that every Wii owner must try.

Overall

One of the best games ever made and another shining star on DK's record.
I purely went to find this because, Y'know, Funny Monkey
But the game honestly is very good, And in any of the wii games, Graphics were welcome to improve, And it was a nice refresher on what Donkey Kong as an IP can be if used properly, Despite my undying love for the first 2 as I refuse to acknowledge the third exists.

    ONE MILLION DOLLA
  • Veho @ Veho:
I know the pricing of electronics nowadays isn't "how much it actually costs" but "how much we can get away with", but putting up a poll is just cynical.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Probably $150 someone said Anbernic said around the same price as rg556

that game's engine is really fucking intensive so it runs like literal shit on xbox 360 and ps3
  • Veho @ Veho:
Nah I'm getting value creep again. I look at a $50 console "but for just a few more dollars you could get XYZ" and I end up considering the Steam Deck.
  • Julie_Pilgrim @ Julie_Pilgrim:
like the lighting in that game was genuinely so good
  • Veho @ Veho:
Not getting dragged into that again.
  • Julie_Pilgrim @ Julie_Pilgrim:
i dont get why they didn't port the one game that ran the worst on consoles, to pc
  • Julie_Pilgrim @ Julie_Pilgrim:
like you port everything to pc except the one game where it would make the most sense. why. what do you gain from this
  • Julie_Pilgrim @ Julie_Pilgrim:
