Sometimes when I change my Avatar once, and then, without closing the iframe, decide on a different one, the uploader persists with the last image that was uploaded, regardless of what the image selected contains. Closing the iframe, reopening it, and reuploading does not fix the issue once it presents itself.

Example: I currently use ImageA. I decide that I want to use ImageB instead. I then go to my Username and choose Avatar; an iframe opens over the current page. I upload ImageB. I decide I want to use a different picture, so without closing the iframe, I upload ImageC. The image that displays (and the one that actually sticks) is ImageB, but the filename I chose to upload (which is still in the 'Browse' box) is for ImageC.

To fix this, I needed to go to a different section of the site, wait a few minutes, then reattempt the upload. Is this a known issue with XenForo? If not, can it be fixed on your end? Hopefully this is fixed soon.

Just in case you need more info to reproduce the bug, I'm using Chrome v58.0.3029.110.

I think this has something to do with your browser cache still using the old image because it had it stored on that page previously. Try viewing your account using incognito on Chrome and see if it's changed. Chances are, it will have.

You might be right, but why did it fix itself without closing the tab? I only navigated to the top level of the forums, which is on the same website. Aren't the caches associated with the website itself, not the actual page?

I'm not too sure on the technicalities. I was discussing this with a few people when I updated my picture, laughing at how it hadn't updated for me but it had for them. It took a few days, maybe a week, but my avatar eventually updated on all pages for me as well :')

Ah. I just tested in Incognito, and the issue isn't present. Thanks. I guess I'll mark this as 'Solved', then.

Edit: I guess I'm not allowed to change the thread prefix in this Forum. :(

Edit2: I can't believe I skipped over this: http://gbatemp.net/threads/changing...ppears-to-fail-can-it-be-fixed-please.471026/
Epic fail. I need to learn to read. :|

It's actually related to the cache on GBATemp's side, it basically needs to "catch up" to the change. This also happens with things like news posts and reviews on the front page, whenever we front page anything it takes a few minutes to actually show up in the list.

I know the pricing of electronics nowadays isn't "how much it actually costs" but "how much we can get away with", but putting up a poll is just cynical.
