Country flag on user's profile page

Ever since the site's redo, the flag of the country a certain user is from (if present) is not displayed on that user's profile page, only on the side of posts in a thread.

This is something that has bothered me pretty badly because the flag was always shown on the profile page before.

It is still accessible with an extra click, is it really such a big deal to know where someone is from?

I mean didn't they just do the same with it on the forum too? Probably just not information they saw as worth cluttering a main view for.

Actually, yes. Especially when that someone begins to insist that he would be told what and where to buy (flashcart or used 1st gen switch for example).
Some will be closer to Amazon or Ebay US, and some to Aliexpress or Ebay AU. And for someone from Madagascar, for example, shipping from anywhere would be insanely expensive.

I just mean for most people it's not something that needs to be one click away - 2 is fine in the rare circumstance you need to see it

I don't know if I understood, but the flag is viewable every time a user posts something. On PC it is always there, on mobile it appears on landscape orientation but not on portrait orientation.

They're still visible in both pc and phone/tablet.

If pc, click on the "expand" arrow below an user's avatar.

In phone/tablet, set your browser to portrait mode to force "pc mode view" and click on the "expand" arrow.

Id say keep them hidden for two reasons. Flags are antagonising to some and can cause a barrier right away. Fact.

And the other reason is there is no bloody Scottish Flag! This site is a bigot
