i have PS4 Pro,many people who got the invite from sony manage to update to 4.5

You answered your own question, simply because they were invited only a PS4 with there accounts can update. The update can either brick or not work so don't try it.

Why many people are asking for soft downgrade ?
Did that happen in a home console?
Maybe in portable system or mobile,but bot on home console,at least not without hard modding.

if you have a PS3 on CFW, you can downgrade.

I'd personally list the filesizes instead of saying "it might take 10 minutes" as this could be different for everyone.

Anyway, cheers, just grabbed 4.06, got to swap out the HDD of me PS4 soon.

if you have a PS3 on CFW, you can downgrade.

PS3 on CFW,normally you can't do that on OFW.
does PS4 have CFW? of course not.
if there is no public hack for PS4,there is no CFW,and with no CFW you can't downgrade.

Maybe in the near future someone will discover a way to downgrade a OFW PS4, just like in the PS3 days? And then is when we'll come to this thread, grab the exploitable FW and begin softmodding our PS4s

What's your point? Did you bother reading what I replied to? PS3 is a home console. CFW is not a hard mod. I answered line #3 and refuted #4 in one go.

On CFW, you don't need hardmodding or an E3 flasher to go back to 3.55.

you need E3 Flasher to downgrade to 3.55 then you can install CFW to it,after that you can do what ever you want.
but normally,you can't install CFW on PS3 above 3.55,and that what i am talking about.

also i know what a home console is,i know what portable console is too.

Yah,you will have to Buy external USB device in order to downgrade,but that won't matter because it only worked on certain OFW,and most people now have updated beyond that.
What's some people here is they want a FREE way to downgrade just like the 3DS.

At the moment, you can't. But I still see ORIGINAL model PS3s in pawn/used shops now and again. It's not *impossible* to find one on 3.55 or below.

In any case, the whole point of continuing this useless conversation is the fact that I simply answered:

Sigh,i think you right,if the device can be hacked on that frame ware then it can be downgradable,which is exactly what i said.
Maybe in the future someone will make a downgrade method without hardmodding,just like all the YouTube videos out there.

Will these firmwares work on all regions or are they region specific. I can't seem to find the anser by googling and am confused as to why on few sites it say for eaxmple 4.07 US region. Japan Region, European Region. Same question for the recovery firmwares. Also which firmware is best to stay on for homebrew and hacking in the furture?
