I've played through nearly all Metroid games. Even sort of did speed runs in Dread, getting down to 2h7min before the world record wasn't much less than 1.5 hours (before the latest methods of sink and skew...)... but I have never played the Gamecube. So I have never played Metroid Prime, even though I bought the trilogy to play on the Wii (still haven't played through). Only games I ever would have played on the cube were the Metroid games and Zelda Wind Waker (which I have also not played through yet, but own). I could not justify buying a system for 4 games.
Now that it's out on the Switch, I tried to play it. I've now died 4 times, simply trying to escape after killing the first boss. Holy crap. I don't think I'll get through this game until I'm back out to sea and have an excess of time on my hands. I'm wondering if I'll even get the game started (by completing the escape)...
