It's great until it isn't.
So, I got a nintendo switch WITH mario odyssey in that one "choose one" bundle with the red joycons, for like 340€. (I say "choose one" but it was a variant of that bundle which had ONLY mario odyssey and not mk8dx or nsmbu. I would've picked mario odyssey anyway but whatever).
I'm not gonna talk about mario odyssey itself bc i might start a big ass essay talking about how amazing it is; i'm only talking about the switch.
The overall feel of the system is super nice. Clicking the joycons on the switch then removing it from the dock and vice versa just gives my brain pure dopamine.
The controllers are so freaking small but I got used to them quickly. No joycon drift yet, but that's because I have a certain history with cheap-ass third party controllers for pc and now I wash my hands every time i touch a controller; even though I didn't even touch anything that dirty before. So yeah, they're probably safe (unless i drop them but nahhhhh).
The battery life is also (kind of) reasonable. I've been playing mario odyssey for like 3-4 hours and it went to like 29% i think.
Now, as for the games, i DEFINETELY didn't play the other mario games like mario kart or mario 3d world on a certain program on a certain platform that starts with P and C so I can't talk about them! Shucks...
But I do want to play them aaaandddddddd all of the games are fucking full price at 60-65€.
Ok, if I can't buy a new game, i might as well buy an OLD one on virtual consol--- OOHHH WAIIT SWITCH ONLINE EXISTS!!! GIVE US 40€ TO PLAY 5FPS MARIO KART 64 ONLINE WHILE PARSEC EXISTS ON PC FOR FUCKING FREE.
(Also I bought the switch while all of the switch 2 rumors started surfacing, i am going to lose it.)
