I'm now sitting at my table, with my boots, socks, gloves, mask, coat, and pants soaked with ice cold slush water. Our class went skiing today*, and some people and I had a race. I was the fastest person, far ahead of anyone else, when the snow beneath me opened up. I fell belly first into a foot deep slush puddle, and buried my skis deep within the watery snow. I was in an awkward position. I couldn't move my legs, because the skiis were in the snow, and I couldn't move my upper body for fear of sinking further into the puddle. So, I waited for someone to help undo my skiis, then slowly lifted myself out of the person sized hole. I was drenched. I then hobbled back to the classroom, where I am now, to thaw out.
I am freezing cold. My pants are drying out, but the rest of me is a different story. Fun!
*I'm lucky to be in this special class where we do stuff like skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and whatever else.
