Quick question. What can an end user like me do with sysconfigtool, besides bricking his console because he touched something he shouldn't have touched? :P

You can use it to run unity games you made and change region. I haven't used the changed region function so I do not know if that bricks. You can also do other risky dev stuff.

Thanks. So nothing for me just yet. I much rather wait for a safe(r) way to run region free content than mess with my console's region. Besides, all my games are EUR, so I would be losing them all if I were to switch regions.

By the way, I asked this in another thread, but got no answer. Whenever I turn off my Wii U from RedNAND, the power light gets stuck in a blinking orange and I'm forced to shut it down by pressing the button. I can't turn it on again normally. Is this normal behavior?

I honestly do not know. I haven't ran into this yet.

I don't know how normal it is, but some people reported that happening with the rednand that was leaked a week ago.

Appreciate the guide write-ups, but how do we summon @Plailect ? :P

He has no patience for "CAN'T LINK THAT HERE HINT HINT GOOGLE R FREND".

Hopefully we'll evolve into another nice external guide, where we can dodge the nonsense.

Do we need to combine our 5 power rings or something? Save us!

Stupid Question alert!! You have been forewarned.

The guide states 16GB card for 8GB Nand, 64GB Card for 16GB Nand. what about those of us who have the 32GB model. I assumed you needed an SD card twice the size of your NAND for this to work. Am I wrong?

It's supposed to say 64GB card for 32GB Nand. It's a typo. 16GB Nands do not exist.

you can use SD card size you said "or bigger" (up to 512GB I guess)

I'll move your guide to the guide section.
Also the "you'll find illegal SDK tools on that link ..." not subtile enough. I'll (or you) remove that, sorry ;)

I think the title is not correct.
this is not a "complete" guide, this is a "install game to redNAND" guide.

This is missing armips info.

there are different way to get PyCrypto, especially on windows.

Also, users who voted it bricked, is it your console or your redNAND which bricked?

It works flawlessly without fear but it's a pain in the ass for dumping nand. It took me about 10 hours or so to dump and create emunand on my 8GB Wii U.

5. Choose cfw booter and tap your power button (this will format your sd card) and dump your nand!
4 Load up cfw booter again and you should be booted into rednand!
you are missing steps here.
after formatting your card to dump the NAND, the SDcard has an empty FAT32 partition. you need to put it back to PC to copy cfw.bin fw.img to SD root again.

edit:
the WUP installer provided is from Nexocube?
Is that version required or can people use the ModY instead? is that a version with the system file installation enabled or his last revision with system file installation prevention? I guess you are installing an apps, not a system file, so ModY should work, right? why not provide the latest version of the tool? it has new features and bug fixes.

Boot up your redNAND and run the homebrew launcher.
HBL is run from SD like on sysNAND? just booting the browser and visiting an url, right?
then you also need to put back HBL on SD after formatting SD card with redNAND.

this is a "complete guide" but you never tell users to download HBL or copy it to their SD card. even before formatting the card.

also, Should I rename your thread to "Guide to install sysconfigtool to redNAND"?
currently, it's only doing that. and that's bad as it's an illegal SDK tool not even provided in the guide. a guide to use illegal SDK tool are not very welcome.
