who was freed, but then the Slovak government wanted him extradited because they decided he will be imprisoned for life. But he died before they could or was possibly killed anyways.
From what I can see he only switched sides because he would have been killed/tortured in the first place etc and still didn't do the things they convicted him for in the czechoslovak communist regime. They decided he will get a death sentence, which still existed back then. Then later they converted it into life-long sentence after he fled to germany. But in the modern times the extradition stuff was approved after his exoneration of german courts. Because EU is now working more tightly closer than ever. And this is why EU is NOT safe against corrupt officials, like in my case too...
