Can't Reproduce Tab icon live update badge doesn't work anymore

Even though I have Live Update Display Options set to Both, the numbered badge in the tab icon doesn't appear anymore.
Browser: Chrome Beta 73.0.3683.67 64-bit

Same thing for me on Firefox Dev Edition 67.0b1.

I have this problem too and sometimes not all profile pictures load

Looks like some recent browser updates possibly broke the favicon, I updated Chrome on my desktop to 73.0.3683.75 and now the favicon no longer updates, whereas on my laptop Chrome is at 72.0.3626.121 and it works just fine.

So it wasn't working since more than two weeks ago and I only realized and came to complain now?
Hmmm... I guess I went with an old browser version for very long.

This should now be fixed. Let us know if anyone still has the issue after a full cache refresh .
