  • The school board still hasn't fixed all new accounts using the same password. I think there finally be changed after creation, but you can still take a bunch of unused accounts.

5 minutes to blindly guess the what the current open account numbers are, then about 30 seconds after that to get each count after.

Github education won't accept any of my documents to renew my free pro subscription. Thankfully I only used pro for having some subdomains in private repositories. This was just an excuse to have a friend help me self host! It's much better to have extra freedom over how I do things.

maybe github won’t accept anything cuz at least one of your documents was forged? lmao

I wish. Seems like it was because GitHub has somehow changed my school name to the school board name. So none of my documents reflected that.

Apparently though by this point they might be blocking me because of how many requests I've made. I'm just not going to bother, self hosting is more fun tbh

I like listening to game music on this website but for some reason everything is one continuous .ogg that keeps taking up more RAM the longer you have it open. Does anyone know if there's something I could do to unload older parts of the ogg or something? I can always refresh but I'd like something more elegant so I don't forget and crash from not enough RAM.

@Sono thanks for checking. At least there's always refreshing. Or getting more RAM.

If you have contact with the site's owner, you could ask them to remove "autoplay" from the HTML5 audio tag, as it nullifies the effects of preload disabling (as per Mozilla Developer Network documentation). They could try autoplay via Javascript, and the browser can block it if you ask it to (via config or extension).

VLC is able to play audio streams online if your browser has troubles doing so.

My friend just told me cicadas are edible. I genuinely want to try cooking them. I've been very interested in urban foraging and it's the only way I will get herbs and most fruits this summer. It would be amazing to try taking it a step further.

I've got a few things on my list for this year. There are some abandoned lots with maple trees so I want to try making syrup, I want to make acorn pie, something with nettles, pine needle soda, and I just want to find some new fruits and vegetables around town.

I think it's an okay hobby so long as I'm safe, plus it has real benefits like not feeding george weston.

I'm finally reaching a point where I can type without looking at the keyboard. I never tried to learn how to type properly and I've always been really slow at it. It's great to finally do okay.

Yeah I used to also do a hybrid type, didn't look at the keyboard 99% of the time - but if I lost my place I would have to look.

Using the little nibs on home row feels super foreign at first, but after a while it's so good and you never get lost. Still occasionally type one handed if I am eating tho

I don't use the home row either, but I do still have rows. My fingers go to QWEF and ,;'<ENTER>.

I think that might be from emulators though. My melonDS settings are WASD as the dpad, QE for the tirgger buttons, and R for reset. Period and comma are start and select, and arrow keys are ABXY. I use a similar setup on others so my hands just naturally float there... chronically gamer.

Hm, this typing setup will probably still require some glances at the keyboard from time to time 😁

My macbook's power brick was frayed at the base. It was so close that I had to tear it open and shock myself a couple times lol

Charger is working good now though!

Basically TADs are the cert, TMD, common ticket, and encrypted app. As long as you have all those things then you can make one.

You can get everything you need off of the NUS.

I am so tired but I don't want to sleep. For some reason I have an unbreakable focus right now. I feel like sleeping is going to ruin that lmao

I have genuinely been more productive in the last week than I have in a year. Normally I can't do anything so this is a very nice change.

I replaced the tires on my bike and now I've been able to go around town a lot faster. I can bike to downtown in 16 minutes. Cars take anywhere from 10-20 depending on traffic and buses take 20-30 minutes.

I was in an aircast from november to february so my legs aren't as strong as I'd like. Hopefully this will be a good way to go places quickly and also help my legs.

Though gotta say bike paths and lanes here suck. This roadside path goes for about 2-3km. Bike stuff here is just a joke. But I guess it beats the usual single faded white line lol

Many countries really need to provide more funding and focus to cycling - despite not being a cyclist myself, I do agree it's MUCH healthier than goddamn cars, both for people and for the environment. Give cyclists proper cycling lanes, away from the death machines, and encourage people to cycle instead of drive to work.

Looked at some BASIC I wrote 4 years ago. This is manually checking each an every possible win combination for tic tac toe. I'm glad I've learned enough to know this SUCKS.
