I've been playing around with installing games to my fat PS2's hard drive, and was curious about one thing: is there a build of miniOPL out there that can read game config files from the +OPL partition, and therefore use VMC files? I'm aiming for an experience that's close to stock: pick games from the hard disc browser, and have all of the games save to VMCs on the hard drive. I don't mind doing some extra setup with the full version of OPL to get config files made and VMC files created.

I'd like to avoid having to spin up a Linux VM to install the PS2 toolchain to compile OPL and experiment.. :P

Be warned with HDDOSD, it can be slow to populate the browser. It's fine for a few games but once you get into the dozens it may be quicker to just load OPL from a MC.
