This short entry is a description of the last two hours.
Act 1 – Open a Wii
==============
Sinchen wants to open up a Wii and check the drive chipset version comparing it to wiidrives.com
So many d*mn screws!
It is a D2C → Okay. Reassemble.
Act 2 – Try the Wii
==============
I never fully reassemble things before testing. That saves time.
Connected drive. Connected Wii to CRT TV. Wii turns on.
Black screen!
What the f…?
Priiloader works.
Homebrew Channel works.
Neogamma detects and loads backup DVD-R and…
Still black screen!
Tries component cable on plasma TV → 480p and black screen.

Act 3 – Desperation
=================
Tries again. Drive reconnected. All looking good. Same result.
Still black screen!
"What did I do wrong?" I was asking myself again and again. Why didn't I check if the Wii was working before disassembly?

Act 4 – Solution
=============
Eventually I found the answer. After completely disassembling the console I noticed the Bluetooth module got disconnected. I wasn't even near that. Didn't touch it. If I had tried the Wii before removing the drive, it wouldn't have worked as well. It must have disconnected while packing and moving.
Dang it, Nintendo! Why does System Menu react to ALL errors alike: Black screen and no error message?! How about a nice text stating "Bluetooth Error. Your console needs to be repaired."
*Click* Bluetooth module inserted → Wii working again. A simple error message. Am I asking for too much?
And tomorrow I'll have to resort to ifixit in order to put the Wii together again.
