    That's what I mean though. If you use any IDE that generates a makefile (or equivalent) you rarely (if ever) have to edit it.

    What kind of IDE do people even use for Linux development though. Most of the time Linux stuff seems to be hand crafted.

    I use Code::Blocks. Netbeans is quite popular and a few people use Eclipse. But I'm primarily a C, C++ and Java developer. Other languages will likely favour different IDEs.

    I've just realised, I have all of the Tony Hawk games on PS1. Its the first time I've put them all on a shelf and seen them together. :O
