Clearly they mean solder to the copper on the screw hole, no one should solder directly to a screw for a GND connection.

My sc card module doesnt have a capacitor, is there a way for me to still hardwire it?

This thread is incredibly helpful! After making the foolish decision to attempt my first microsoldering job by doing the SD FPC connector repair, the end result was lifted pads and a huge mess. Though ugly, I was able to connect the wires from the test points to the SD card module... and it worked! I mostly used 30 gauge insulated wire, and I used a mix of colors to best mimic this thread so as to avoid connecting wires improperly.

My only real headache was that I could not get a solid connection to the side of the capacitor, even using some 34 gauge magnet wire. For anyone running into the same issue, you can connect to the FPC connector instead (or the pad, if your FPC connector has been removed).

This is the pad I connected to using the aforementioned magnet wire (30 gauge insulated wire was a bit too large). Again, this was the 'green' wire which would normally have gone to the side of the capacitor.

The Switch looks like a garbage fire.... but it works! Enough to at least boot and backup some saves, though I'm skeptical of how sturdy the repair is.
