^ Can confirm the editor picks up the save file, yet when done, the save file itself disappears from the selected slot. Be sure to make a back up just in case.
Could this work to get vita files recognized since they seem to be the same format?Ok so figured out how to successfully use the save editor. The data00XX.binslot has a checksum relating to the save data. So here's what you need to do in order modify your save.
Gonna run through this using HxD, but you can use similar means.
1. Make a back up just incase!
2. Open your data00XX.bin file in the P4G Save Tool and edit how you want. Save it.
3. After saving, calculate the MD5 checksum of your data00XX.bin file. You can do this in HxD by opening the file, clicking on Analysis > Checksums. Scrolldown to MD-5, select it, then click Ok. You should see the checksum at the bottom of the window (can see in screenshot).
4. Open up the corresponding data00XX.binslot file and copy the checksum value into the highlighted addresses in the screenshot.

5. Save the file and launch P4G. If it worked, you should still see your file and have your changes. If it didn't, the file won't show up at all.
Hope this helps!
You absolute mad lad, Colby! It works thanks to you bud!
We managed to get some Vita saves working by splicing in chunks in the hex editor manually, but just dropping in a vita save and calculating the checksum will not work.Could this work to get vita files recognized since they seem to be the same format?
Clever! Much easier. AhaThere is also an easier way
The loading works even though the file will be "gone" next time you visit the save/load screen
But you can just save in the same slot again
Fine for a new save. The save was from a Vita save. Editing worked on that save though, then it didn't. Weird.
It was broken and the fix for it (https://github.com/fendevel/P4G-Save-Tool/pull/12) was never merged.Did the Hero EXP edit work on the Vita? 'Cause it doesn't seem to work for the PC saves (at least for me). It's seems to be the value of a different address than in the Vita save .... which hints at a certain discrepancy between the save structures ... maybe your Vita save contains information the PC version can't handle
I am having the same issue like youHello...
When i try to do the load data thing after editing.
I get a japanese error screen after clicking ok it says "Sorry! Application has crashed."
I tried the MD5 checker way too, and nothing's working.
And oh yea, it worked yesterday but now it just doesn't work and when that happens and sometimes it makes this XXXXX.binslot.bak file for some reason.
I tried making the game fullscreenm borderless, windowed. people said that the problem is an msi afterburner application, but i dont even have that installed on my rig.
did anyone encounter this, and did you find a way around it?
Edit: I re-installed my whole game, still the same.......
